ROADS in a north Dorset village are to be closed for fibre internet installation works.
Various roads in Tarrant Monkton will be shut from November 4 while the work is carried out. It is hoped it will be completed by November 29.
They are: The High Street in its entirety and an Unnamed Road from Turners Lane south to Apple Tree Cottage between Valley Road and Manor Farm.
The temporary closure order will enable Wessex Internet safe access to carry out fibre installation works. Access will be maintained and only one closure will be in place at a time.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Wessex Internet on 0333 240 7997.
For further information concerning this order call Dorset Highways Traffic Team on 01305 221020.
