Weymouth Town Council has opened nominations for a new scheme which shines a spotlight on charities across the town.
Throughout this year, Weymouth’s iconic Jubilee Clock has lit up in different colours to celebrate the work of charitable causes.
One charity can be represented per month, in whatever colour the charity chooses, with the clock being lit for up to three days during the month.
This year's causes included Weymouth Samaritans, The Nothe Fort, the Repair Café and MV Freedom, and the clock was also turned red, white and blue in June in honour of D-Day 80 commemorations.
The scheme will continue in 2025 and residents can nominate any local charity or organisation that benefits Weymouth and its different communities.
Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Jon Orrell, said: “This is your chance to shine a light on the work of a local charity or organisation who you would like to be represented in next year’s Jubilee Clock light up scheme.
"So, please get your nominations in by midday on Monday, November 11 to be in with a chance of being represented in 2025.”
The full list of nominations will then be considered before being publicised in December.
