The inquest into the death of a man who was killed at a Weymouth hotel has been discontinued following criminal proceedings.
Daniel Hrycyszyn, 35, died from internal bleeding after being held in a tight hold around his chest by Joe Michael Williams in a violent dispute at Hotel Central in Maiden Street on December 30, 2023.
Williams had been staying there and Mr Hrycyszyn was a former resident of the hotel.
As reported earlier this month, Williams, 19, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court for manslaughter. He will serve four years in jail and will be subject of an extended licence period for a further four years.

The inquest into Mr Hrycyszyn’s death had been suspended on January 15, 2024 due to an ongoing police investigation.
The inquest was re-opened briefly yesterday at Bournemouth Coroner’s Court by the Area Coroner for Dorset, Mr Brendan Allen.
At the hearing, Mr Allen deemed that there was ‘no sufficient reason to continue,’ stating that relevant people had been contacted and none had shared a desire to reopen the inquest.
Mr Allen announced: “The coronary investigation will not be resumed. I offer my condolences to the family and friends of Mr Hrycyszyn.”
