A reader has responded to a letter from a Mr Butler 'whining' about the Dorset resort of West Bay

OH, DEAR Mr Butler, you visit our area once in a blue moon and then present a catalogue of complaints from scheduled and much needed repair works, roadworks and residents parking to complaints about the lack of lighting in toilets.

READ: 'We won't be visiting West Bay again for some time'

You complain about ‘your’ inability to use the parking meters, meters which I might add are found across the nation, including Seaton, you then have the temerity to consider parking in a car park belonging to Groves Garden Centre!

May I point out this is a customer-only car park whilst shopping in Groves!

I’m surprised after suggesting previous visits and knowledge of West Bay, that you would have been familiar with the ‘narrow’ roads that you whined about.

West Bay may have a few issues at times but it’s ‘our’ West Bay!

However, there is one bonus in amongst the litany of complaints, you go on to say that you have no intention of visiting West Bay again, at least there is one positive amongst all your moans.
