A festival will celebrate fossils, rocks and earth science this weekend.
Members of the Dorset Geologist’s Association Group (DGAG) is hosting a ‘Geofest’ at the United Church on South Street in Dorchester this Saturday, October 26.
The theme of the event is celebrating geoscience; fossils, rocks and earth science. Members of the DGAG and some invited guests will exhibit their collections and share their knowledge.
Starting at 10am, the event will finish at 4pm. Entry to the event is free, with no need to book. Refreshments will not be supplied at the venue.
DGAG was founded in 1993 and is a local group affiliated with the Geologists’ Association for all geologists, both professional and amateur. They work alongside a number of local and regional groups promoting the earth sciences and geoconservation.
