A teenage from Portland has been charged with a string of shoplifting offences.
While on patrol on Thursday, October 24, officers from Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team charged a local teenager from with 13 shoplifting offences.
These were all allegedly committed in the Portland area, including at the Co-op at Tesco supermarkets in Easton area.
The teenager is due to appear in court in November.
According to Weymouth and Portland police, some of these thefts may have been linked to a recent increase in youth-related anti-social behaviour around the Easton area.
A spokesperson said: "Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team are working hard with other partner agencies, to target the main offenders of anti-social behaviour on Portland.
"We have officers tasked to patrol Easton over the half term week.
"We encourage local businesses and residents affected to report any offences via our website, or 101."
