A new campaign has been launched to support the vulnerable elderly community as we get in to the colder winter months.
St Jude's Care Ltd, a home care company based in Weymouth, is inviting businesses to take part in the "Warmer Winter" campaign.
The company is working in collaboration with Age UK North, South, and West Dorset - a charity which supports the elderly.
A raffle is being organised to raise vital funds for the charity and local businesses are invited to donate prizes or make financial contributions.
This comes after Age UK raised concerns that many elderly people could face hardships this winter following the government's decision to restrict Winter Fuel Allowance payments to all but the poorest pensioners.

The winter fuel payments help pensioners with their heating bill and is normally made in November and December.
James Bryant, office manager at St Jude's Care said: "Your generous support will not only help us raise vital funds but also demonstrate your commitment to strengthening our community during this critical time.
"We firmly believe that, by joining forces, we can make a significant difference in the lives of seniors in our area."
