A warrant has been issued for an asylum seeker living on board the Bibby Stockholm barge at Portland Port after he failed to appear in court.
Alfredo Sanchez was due to appear in court at 10am today, charged with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
He is also charged with possessing a controlled drug of class A - cocaine.
The charges refer to an alleged incident which happened at Liberty Road on Portland on August 17, 2024.
The 36-year old was due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates Court to enter pleas for the two charges.
He is now wanted on a first instance warrant for arrest for failing to attend court.
