A father and son magician duo impressed judges at auditions for a reality TV talent show.
As previously reported, Russell Andrews, 44, and his son Alfie, 10, of Weymouth, travelled to London for Britain’s Got Talent auditions.
Speaking about the experience Mr Andrews, who works at Snookes snooker and pool club in Weymouth, said: “We're buzzing. We got through the preliminary rounds, getting through three tough rooms and about 16 different producers.
“In the first room, there were around nine acts in front of us before we got to perform and not one of them got through - which I thought was strange because there were some incredibly talented performers.
“We did our card trick, and had a playfight the entire time, but we pulled it off and they gave Alfie a piece of paper to say that we had got through.
“In the third room, we then had to perform the trick in front of more producers, with cameras and boom mics on us too."
Mr Andrews has auditioned for the show twice before - once with his own display back in 2008, and again when he taught a group of young children a set of magic tricks in 2015, but never heard back from the producers.
He is hoping this third audition - the first time performing with Alfie - will be third time lucky.
The pair are now awaiting a phone call to see if they are invited to the filming stages of the show in January.
Mr Andrews said: “Alfie’s been buzzing - he went to school the next day as though he was a global superstar - he’s already worked out how to spend some of the money!
“I think we’ll do it this time, we have a good chance, and we had producers laughing from start to finish because we were able to bounce off each other.
“I’ve done it all before, but it was an amazing experience for my son to go out there in front of all the people, none of whom he knew. He had no nerves and was full of confidence."
Since getting involved in the world of magic, Mr Andrews has released DVDs and conducted lectures on magic, as well as appearing at weddings, parties and venues around the country.
Mr Andrews said that his tricks have influenced Alfie to get more involved in the world of magic.
