Two people allegedly fled an address in Weymouth following a drugs raid.
Officers from Weymouth and Portland’s Neighbourhood policing team and force support group conducted a search warrant at an address in Chapelhay on Friday.
The property was raided after reports from the community that alleged drug dealing was taking place at the address and there were suspected stolen goods.
Entry to the home was forced, and according to police, two people leapt out of the window to escape.
Two people were later detained and it's alleged drugs were found on them.
Drugs were also found and seized within the address.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Yesterday, officers from the Neighbourhood policing team (NPT) and the force support group (FSG) conducted a section 8 PACE warrant at an address in Chapelhay following community reports about drug dealing and stolen goods being within the address.
“Officers forced entry and as they did two individuals decided to leap out of a window to make their great escape.
"Two were were detained shortly later, with drugs being located on their person.
“As a result of this warrant, a quantity of drugs have been located within the address and have been taken off the streets of Weymouth. This positive action is part of our Safer Business Action Week, which has been in full swing.”
