A VILLAGE road is to be temporarily closed for water works to be carried out.

Part of the road outside the Beehive, West Farm, Church Lane in Osmington, will be shut in both directions, a distance of approximately 40 metres.

The closure has been requested to allow Wessex Water to renew a stop tap.

These works are programmed to start from October 21 until October 22.

Residents' access will be maintained.

Wessex Water will publicise the road closure in a number of ways: they will place information boards on the road in this area to inform the travelling public of the works and they will carry out a letter drop to local residents directly affected by the works.
