PART of a town road will be closed while railway maintenance works are being carried out.

Monmouth Road in Dorchester will be shut between its junction with Culliford Road and no. 180, a distance of approximately 105 metres from October 30.

It is anticipated that the works will be complete by November 6.

The closure will allow Network Rail safe access to bring plant and machinery to the nearby Network Rail land.

A temporary clearway will be in place on Monmouth Road between its junctions with Culliford Road and no. 180 to prevent vehicles stopping to allow sufficient widths for machinery entering and exiting the works site.
