POLICE have thanked the public for sharing an appeal after a missing member of the public was found.

Dorset Police received a report raising a concern for the welfare of Karina Biggs, aged 46, who had last been seen in the area of Alfred Street, Blandford, at around 1.30pm on Friday.

Inspector Steve Hughes, of Dorset Police, said: “We do have concerns for Karina’s welfare and we are carrying out searches as we are keen to find her and ensure that she is all right.

“I would urge anyone with information regarding Karina’s whereabouts to please contact us immediately.

“We know that Karina has been upset recently and I would also like to make a direct appeal to her to please make contact with us or your loved ones and let us know where you are. We all just want to check that you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Karina's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 11:466.

Police confirmed at 9am that Karina had been found.
