A road in Dorset is under an emergency closure due to a burst water main.
New Barn Road in Rodden has been closed from its junction with Rodden Lane approximately 25 metres west.
This closure is expected to last until Tuesday, October 15.
Wessex Water is working to carry out emergency repairs of the burst water main.
Resident access will be maintained
This comes as the nearby B3157 coast road is closed at Portesham. This is part of a £250,000 water mains scheme on a 200-metre stretch at Goose Hill.
Some have been using the route through Rodden as a way of bypassing the closure.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Wessex Water on 0345 600 4600.
To discuss the closure notice, contact Dorset Council on 01305 221020.
