A flood alert has been issued for Dorset following heavy rainfall.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for areas near the Upper Frome and Hooke River as river levels are set to rise this evening.
Low lying land and roads are expected to be most affected, particularly between Toller Whelme and Dorchester.
River levels are forecast to begin falling overnight.
A similar alert is in place for the River Axe with the alert covering the rivers Axe, Coly, Yarty, Umborne Brook and coastal streams from Branscombe to Axmouth.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: "We are closely monitoring the situation and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
"Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.".
