A RAILWAY carriage being used as a café at Swanage Steam Railway could have a drinks licence.
The carriage, in a siding off the main station, at Corfe Castle has an outside area for eating and drinking.
In an application for a Premises Licence to Dorset Council operator Alyson Liles says she wants to be able to offer alcoholic drinks for occasional events, including supper evenings, intending to close by 10pm, with no children on the premises after 7pm.
The application says the carriage café also plans to offer occasional acoustic music events at weekends and afternoons in its garden/patio area, with some private functions.
Public comments on the application remain open until October 16th.
