Train services between Exeter and Yeovil have been cancelled due to flooding.

There is currently no service running from Exeter St Davids and Yeovil JUnction train stations due to all lines being blocked between Exeter and Honiton, in Devon, due to flooding.

It is affecting train services from both Great Western Railway and South Western Railway and will be impacting services at both Axminster and Sherborne. 

South Western Railway has said that disruption is likely to last until 6pm this evening.

A spokesperson for South Western Railway said:  "We have been informed that there is heavy rain flooding the railway between Exeter St Davids and Honiton.

"This means that all lines between these stations are currently blocked.

"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.

"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."

South Western Railway is offering replacement travel at no extra cost on the following lines: 

  • Great Western Railway services between Exeter St Davids and London Paddington (in both directions)
  • Great Western Railway services between Basingstoke and Reading (in both directions)
  • Great Western Railway services between Salisbury and Westbury (in both directions)
  • London Underground via any reasonable route (for travel between London Waterloo and London Paddington)

Bus ticket acceptance on the following routes:

 

  • Stagecoach South West P between Exeter and Pinhoe
  • Stagecoach South West 1 between Exeter - Pinhoe - Broadclyst (near Cranbrook)
  • Stagecoach South West 4 between Exeter St Davids and Cranbrook
  • Stagecoach South West 9 between Honiton and Exeter (long route via Sidmouth)
  • Stagecoach South West X30 between Honiton and Exeter
  • Stagecoach South West 44 and 44A between Axminster - Honiton - Cranbrook - Exeter
