A history talk will be taking place in Weymouth relating the story of a Second World War plane that was found wrecked off the Dorset coast.
The South Dorset group of the Somerset & Dorset Family History Society is set to meet for its next event on Friday, October 18 at St. Aldhelm's Church Centre in Weymouth.
The talk will delve into the story of a WW2 Tomahawk Fighter that was found wrecked off Chesil Beach.

It will be presented by Selwyn Williams, the diver who discovered the wreckage in 1980. The backstory of the American aircraft will be retold, from how it was diverted to both the RAF and Royal Canadian Airforce to its demise off Portland.
The talk is due to start at 2.30 pm, preceded by tea or coffee. Admission is £2 for members and £3 for non-members.
