AIRLINE operator Jet2 last month announced its summer 2026 programme of flights from Bournemouth Airport. 

The low-cost package holiday firm announced in April that it would use Hurn as its 12th UK base in a large expansion of the business. 

As well as this announcement, Jet2 also started flights to 16 destinations from Bournemouth Airport, including two firsts of Fuerteventura and Madeira. 

Last month, following a successful start to summer 2025, Jet2 announced summer 2026’s flights – including an extra plane to take the fleet up to three. 

It has included new three-weekly services to Malaga along with new to Bournemouth Airport weekly trips to Dubrovnik in Croatia, the Greek island of Kos, Reus in Catalonia, Spain and Verona in Italy.

The expanded programme means more than 370,000 seats have gone on sale, representing a capacity increase of over 30 per cent when compared to summer 2025. 

Bosses at Jet2 have said the new list is in response to “strong demand” from holidaymakers since the business announced it would fly from Hurn earlier this year. 

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2, said the 2026 programme promises to be his company’s best yet and added he has “every confidence it will be a huge success”. 

And Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, said that Jet2 has “brought fantastic opportunities” for holidaymakers by providing “even more choice, flexibility and convenience”.
