Police have issued a warning to youths after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers from Dorchester Police were on patrol on Friday, October 4 when they received reports of youths gathering in the hangars at the old airfield in Crossways.

It had been reported that young people had been drinking alcohol and there was a strong smell of cannabis.

Dorchester Police has now issued a warning alerting people to the dangers of climbing hay bales.

A spokesperson said: "A stack of hay bales can make a tempting, but a potentially fatal, climbing frame. Sadly, there have been cases involving children falling from, or being crushed by hay bales.

"The Neighbourhood Policing Team have been speaking to the local farm manager and patrols will continue in this area."
