A geologist and former Earth Science Manager at a World Heritage site will give a talk on his vision of a fossil museum.
Richard Edmonds will give the second talk of the autumn programme to the Friends of Weymouth Museum on his perfect fossil museum.
The talk will be held at the Hope United Reformed Church on Trinity Street in Weymouth on Monday, October 28 from 2pm to 3.30pm.
Mr Edmonds studied Geology at the University of Hull, and worked with the National Trust on the Isle of Arran as countryside interpretation volunteer.
In 1986 he returned to Dorset as warden of the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre.
During the next 11 years he led count people onto the local beaches of West Dorset in search of fossils.
In 1997, he took up a new post as Jurassic Coast Project Officer with the then Dorset County Council, a role which has gradually evolved into Earth Science Manager with the dual task of monitoring, managing and protecting the core interests of the World Heritage Site along with inputting geological expertise into the work undertaken by the team as a whole.
Tickets will be available on the door and are £2 for members of the Friends and £3 for visitors.
