A van suspected to have been involved in the illegal dumping of waste in Dorset has been seized.
The grey Fiat Duccato van was seized from Piddlehinton Camp, Piddlehinton by Dorset Council's Environmental Enforcement Team on Friday, September 20, at around 11am.
The van is subject to a live investigation and is suspected to have been involved in environmental crimes within Dorset.
The van, registration number BN56 FVT, has been seized pending that investigation by the Environmental Enforcement Team.
The seizure is under Sections 33/34/34B Environmental Protection Act 1990, the breach of duty of care & Illegal depositing of waste.
If a seizure notice has been published and served per regulations and no valid claim is made then the authority may immediately dispose of the vehicle.
The claim must be fully supported by the evidence/documentation and be made before October 14.
