Dogs will once again be allowed to walk off-lead on Weymouth Beach.
From today dog walkers are allowed to take their pets onto the main sandy portion of Weymouth Beach between Greenhill Groyne to the dog exercise area.
Additionally, dogs are still allowed all year round on Bowleaze Cove, Chesil Beach (at Abbotsbury to the Tank Teeth Boundary), Church Ope Cove, Portland, and Ringstead Beach.
A spokesperson for Weymouth Town Council said: “A reminder that October 1 marks the end of the seasonal restrictions for dogs on Weymouth Beach and Greenhill Beach.”
Dogs will be allowed on the section of beach until May 1, 2025.
