Staff at a Dorset care home hosted a charity bike meet on behalf of their former biker residents.
Brian and Sue, two residents at The Evergreens Lodge Residential Home in Sherborne used to be keen bikers back in the day – so the care home wanted to do something special for them.
The meet was well attended by the biker community and prizes were given to the best bike, the best biker helmet and the best leathers, with winners chosen by Brian and Sue.
A raffle was also hosted on the day to raise money for the local ‘Singing for the Brain’ group, which brings people affected by dementia together to sing a variety of songs they know and love, in a fun and friendly environment. We also do vocal exercises that help improve brain activity and wellbeing.
Overall, the event raised an impressive £290.
