A manufacturing company in Weymouth has attended a major military exposition as it drives forward ambitious growth plans.
Titan Manufacturing, based on the Granby Industrial Estate, specialises in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining laser cutting and surface finishing.
It was among key suppliers and Ministry of Defence stakeholders at biennial defence industry exhibition, DVD.
Having fulfilled military contracts in the past, Titan was showcasing its capabilities and is looking to acquire more contacts in the sector.

Jon Higson, managing director of Titan Manufacturing, said: “This was an important opportunity to develop our relationships with key stakeholders responsible for MOD and military procurement, meeting people face to face and sharing who we are and what we can do.
“We were pleased to connect with so many key figures across this space and deepen our understanding of the future landscape of defence."
DVD 2024, which took place at UTAC Millbrook (United Test and Assembly Centre), is jointly sponsored by Defence Equipment & Support (land equipment) and Army Headquarters – the MOD teams responsible for equipping and supporting the UK’s Armed Forces operations.

It includes informal discussions, briefings, demonstrations and displays, providing a forum for representatives from industry and the MOD to discuss ‘battle winning ideas’, with the focus this year on delivering a ‘more modern, more lethal and more productive army’.
Titan, which predominantly provides manufacturing services to the defence and food industries, including making key production line components, also appeared at a second exposition event; the PPMA Show, at the NEC Birmingham, the largest processing and packaging machinery exhibition in the UK, with 8000 attendees over three days.
Mr Higson, added: “These expos are a fantastic way for us to showcase who we are and what we can offer to those at heart of the defence and food and beverage industries."
Titan manufacturing, which secured significant private investment last year, is in a period of ambitious growth, having opened a second £1.8m purpose-built production workshop this summer, bringing their total factory premises up to 30,000 sq ft.
