Youths in Weymouth are suspected of damaging the door of a shop in the town centre - and leaving a shoe behind.
Officers from Dorset Police were called to a disturbance at The Range last night (Friday, September 27) after receiving a report that a group of youths were damaging the stores front door.
When officers arrived, the youths had left the scene but officers are now looking to speak to one youths, who left a shoe behind at the scene.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "This evening, officers attended The Range, Weymouth, after a report was made involving a group of youths damaging the door.
"Upon arrival, we found that the youths had left. Though it is not close to midnight, it seems that one young Cinderella had to leave in such a hurry, that they left a shoe.
"So we took the liberty of collecting said shoe and brought it back to the station for safekeeping. PC Prince Charming is very keen to find this Cinderella, to see if the shoe fits.
"We would very much like to speak to this youngster to find out what happened, so if you have noticed your child coming home with one shoe, you can report it to us via online or 101 quoting reference number: 55240149341."
