An uninsured driver's car has been seized by police.
Police spotted the uninsured vehicle late last night whilst it was being driven in Shaftesbury.
The driver initially officers the 'slip', but police were able to eventually track it down.
The car was seized and the driver has been reported to court for several offences.
A spokesperson for North Dorset Police said: "On Thursday, September 26, eagle-eyed PC560 spotted a vehicle, without motor insurance, being driven in Shaftesbury.
"Unfortunately for the driver, another unit was literally just up the road, and although the vehicle then gave officers the slip, it was located shortly after by PC2724 and SC3103.
"The vehicle was seized, and the driver reported to court for several document offences."
