A fun dog show is set to return to Weymouth this weekend.
The third Paws 4 Fort event will be taking place on Sunday, September 29 from 10.30am to 4pm at Nothe Fort, Weymouth.
It will be a furry-tail ending for some of the su-paw-star pooches who can scoop up rosettes and prizes in six different categories, as well as the award for ‘Best in Show.’
Portland Mayor Sheila Miles will declare the event open. While dog owners register for the fun dog show, which starts at 12pm.
The winners of each class will go into the best-in-show class.
Dog-Friendly Business Awards will also be presented by Emma Murgatroyd from Nothe Fort.
A spokesperson for the event said: "We had over 700 nominations from dog owners who voted on a link shared by Nothe Fort.
"I can't wait to find out who wins."
There will also be local stalls, and the chosen charity this year is the Margaret Green Animal Rescue.
A spokesperson added: "We have a tombola stall with over 50 great prizes kindly donated by local businesses and individuals, every penny we raise will go directly to the rescue to help animals in their care."
