Weymouth care home residents were delighted by a special visit from some furry friends.
Those living at Anning House, Cross Road, were treated to an afternoon of animal therapy when they were surprised by a visited by Socrates and Spartan Warrior – two alpacas.
Many of the residents noted how friendly the animals were and expressed joy at the opportunity to meet with them.
Resident, Becky Jackson, said: “The alpacas were beautiful and had such lovely coats.”
During the afternoon, residents had the chance to learn about the history and characteristics of alpacas, along with fascinating facts about the calming, intelligent animals.
The alpacas were brought into the home by Alpaca Adventure, an award-winning, ethical animal sanctuary.
Heidi Williams, General Manager at Anning House, said: “We had a wonderful time welcoming Socrates and Spartan Warrior to Anning House and giving them a full tour of the home.
“Thank you to Alpaca Adventure for bringing them to the home, we look forward to welcoming other animals, big or small in the future.”
