A large cruise ship carrying more than 3,000 passengers has ‘unexpectedly’ docked at Portland Port.
The Caribbean Princes – a familiar visitor to the port – is currently on a 12-day round-trip branded ‘Oktoberfest European Capitals.’
During this journey the ship was not scheduled to make a stop at the island and is actually scheduled to be at Le Havre-Paris, France today from 7am-8pm, before making its final port call back in Southampton where the trip began.
The Caribbean Princess docked at Portland this morning at 7.44am after departing from Hamburg on September 21.
The ship, which was built in 2004, is operated by Princess Cruises and boasts an impressive 18 decks.
It was also christened by American actress Jill Whelan.
