An investigation has been launched into a crash involving two cars in Weymouth.
It was reported that a vehicle travelling along Chickerell Link Road toward Chickerell Camp stopped suddenly at the junction with Link Park Road, causing a collision involving two vehicles travelling behind – a silver Toyota Yaris and a black Vauxhall Corsa.
The vehicle which was reported to have stopped suddenly left the scene, possibly unaware of the collision that had occurred behind it.
The crash happened at around 2.30pm on Saturday, September 7 and Dorset Police has today issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Chloe Seaward, of Weymouth police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and are looking to identify the third vehicle involved.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured it on dashcam or CCTV footage.”
