Families can explore the fascinating wonders of science at this upcoming festival in Weymouth.
The Weymouth Family Science Festival will be returning to the Nothe Fort on Sunday, September 22 from 10.30am to 4pm.
Just like last year's festival, there will be an inflatable planetarium where Dorset astronomer Kate Earl will be sharing stories and facts about the night sky, stars and planets.
Visitors will also be able to make and launch their own rocket from within the fort’s grounds and have a go at marbling.
There will also be fossil painting and exhibitions and demonstrations from Portland Museum, Weymouth Museum and Wessex Water.
This event is covered by your General Admission ticket or Annual Pass. The museum will also be open as per our normal operating hours.
There will be a maximum of 25 people per session of the inflatable planetarium which will be held in hourly slots from 10.45am. You can sign up on the day and this will be on a first come first served basis.
