A woman has been arrested for being 'drunk and disorderly' in Poundbury.
Officers from Dorset Police were called to a disturbance yesterday afternoon after a woman was acting in a manner that was causing 'upset' to local residents and children walking home from school.
A woman was arrested on Peverell Avenue East and remains in police custody.
At the time, a spokesperson for Dorchester Police, said: "Dorchester Police responded today (September 11) to reports of a person who was causing a disturbance in the location of Peverell Avenue East this afternoon.
"A female was arrested for being drunk and disorderly and currently remains in police custody.
"We recognise that the person's behaviour was causing upset to residents and passers by including children on their way home from school."
