A jazz club is celebrating its one-year anniversary by welcoming a pair of musicians.
In October last year, Martin Ansell started a Jazz Jam at the Tom Browns pub on High East Street in Dorchester.
The club meet on the first Sunday of every month, and the group’s next meet up will include performances from top-class performers to celebrate its anniversary.
The two-hour celebration will take place at the pub at 1pm on Sunday, October 6, and the club will be welcoming Andy Urquhart to play trumpet and Ian Ellliss to perform on his tenor saxophone.
A jazz jam is made up of a group of musicians, usually jazz musicians, who improvise and play together without much preparation.
Entry to the event is free, and playing guests are welcome to come along and perform.
