CHANGES to an air handling system at Dorset County Hospital, which will result in the loss of outdoor seating on a terrace close to the cafeteria, has been approved.

Dorset Council  agree to the proposal on level 2 adjoining Ridgeway Ward which is currently being refurbished.

The new large piece of equipment will be sited on a flat roof area currently used for seating outside the cafeteria – taking up around half the space available.

The permission includes an attached service corridor, four condenser units together with fencing and maintenance and access to ductwork.

Neither Dorchester Town Council, or ward councillor Les Fry, raised any objection.
