A person was rushed to hospital after a car overturned in a field off a busy road.
The single-vehicle crash took place at the bottom of Abbotsbury Hill near to the turning with the road leading down to Chesil Beach and Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police say that the persons injuries are not believed to be serious.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 3.30am on Friday, September 6 of a single vehicle collision at Abbotsbury Hill.
"Officers attended and one person was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Two police cars were on the scene today (Tuesday, September 10) at around 12pm directing traffic - It is unknown whether this is related.
One motorist at the scene has said that the police cars were 'blocking the road' and that it 'looked like they were going to shut the road'.
She added: "I got there just as they were starting to block the road and traffic is starting to build up a bit."
