A Dorset woman is finishing off her mega fundraising mission with a bang.

Terry Krasinska from Bridport has been organising a total of five events from May to October in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare.

Terry, who is retired, wanted to raise money for the charity as they are local with ‘wonderful, caring staff’. She is also doing it in memory of her late brother whom she wishes ‘had the care of Weldmar.’

The final of the five events is a gala dinner which is set to take place on Saturday, October 12 from 7pm-12am at the George Albert Hotel, Dorchester.

At the time of writing, Ms Krasinska has raised more than £4,000, saying: “I’m doing well with the fundraising – I’m really pleased.”

The theme of the night is glam and sparkle and there will be plenty of entertainment, including music from Emily Jean, a ‘promising’ auction, as well as food and drink.

Ms Krasinska added: “I like to think there are some unique things in the auction of promises.”
