A critically acclaimed Finnish film is being shown with subtitles at a cinema in Dorchester.
Dorchester Film Society is launching its 66th Season at the Corn Exchange on Wednesday September 11 at 7.30pm with a screening of the romantic comedy Fallen Leaves.
The film, released in 2023, is set in Helsinki and centred around ordinary people who are struggling to get by in an increasingly impersonal and industrial age.
This screening kickstarts the society's new programme which features eighteen titles of world cinema including two winners and six nominated titles from this year’s Oscars - Anatomy of a Fall and The Zone of Interest.
Full details of the programme, to be shown on the Corn Exchange’s wide screen with Dolby sound on selected Wednesdays, are available on the website dorchesterfilmsociety.org.uk with the details of how anyone can apply for membership of the Society.
The conditions of film hire mean that tickets cannot be purchased at the door.
