A new restaurant will open its doors next week.
Myra’s Korean and Japanese restaurant on High East Street in Dorchester is set to open on Tuesday, September 10 following an announcement from the owner.
The restaurant opening hours will see food served from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 12pm to 11.30pm, Tuesdays from 5pm to 11.30pm, and Sundays from 12pm to 5pm. It will be closed on Mondays.
As previously reported, Ganghyeon Kim, 34, and his wife of four years Carla Parman-Kim, 35, will be opening the Asian fusion restaurant in the premises previously occupied by Japanese restaurant Myra's Kaiseki after it suddenly closed in April.
The new owners want to keep the name Myra's in the title of their new venture because they said the previous venue had a great reputation. They hope to use the name before relaunching with a new name later in the year.
The couple, who have a two-year-old son, Ren, moved to Puddletown last July and have been looking for a venue for guests to enjoy Mr Kim’s Korean food.
According to the owners, the menu will serve traditionally Korean food, as well as Japanese food. This includes the likes of sushi and sashimi.
Speaking previously to the Echo, Mr Kim said that he was excited at the prospect of opening. He said: "I want everything to be fresh. We will be making everything 100 per cent from scratch, for people to have nice food that is reasonably priced.”
