A major medical incident has sparked a large emergency response to a Dorset residential park.
Police officers and firefighters were called to assist the ambulance service with the medical incident at Quarr Lane Park, Sherborne.
A nearby resident described seeing a large emergency presence, with some remaining at the scene for ‘several hours.’
The Echo has been told that a person was injured, however police and other emergency services have not commented on any casualties.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 4pm on Friday, August 30 from the ambulance service relating to a medical incident at an address in Quarr Lane in Sherborne.
“Officers attended to assist. We are unable to give any further information at this time.”
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 3:50pm to assist with an incident at Quarr Lane Park, Sherborne.
“One fire engine from Sherborne attended along with an officer. Crews supported the ambulance service with the incident and left the scene at 5.40pm.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 3.24pm to an incident in Sherborne.
“We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, a critical care car, an operations officer, and a responding officer to the scene”.
