The mayor of Portland is thankful after raising more than £300 for good causes with a coffee morning.
The Mayor of Portland, Councillor Sheila Miles, is sending a big thank you to all who attended her coffee morning on August 17.
The money will be donated to the charities she chose at the start of her mayoral term.
She said: "I am also sending a special thank you to all the lovely ladies in the chapel kitchen who provided the refreshments.
"The morning was a great success with live music from Dr Jazz and some great raffle prizes.
"Thank you again to all."
The £300 raised will go to the mayor's chosen charities: Medical Detection Dogs and the Women’s’ Institute.
