An outdoor stage show, which has been recently toured the UK, will be returning be returning to its place of inspiration for one last performance.

The Dorset-based company SISATA produced its own version of Peter Pan which features a large crocodile puppet based on the fossilised skull of a pliosaur found at Kimmeridge and which was the subject of a David Attenborough documentary.

Writer and director Charmaine K. said she was also influenced by issues that have caused division on Portland such as the Bibby Stockholm and waste incinerator.

She hoped that the universal nature of the story would serve to unite the community, delving into the culture wars between young and old generations.

The four-hander children’s play made its debut at Church Ope Cove, Portland on June 29 and 30 and performed across the UK in August and September. 

Now the theatre group is returning to Portland for a homecoming performance at Portland Bill on Sunday, September 8 at 6.30pm. 

This will be followed by a final performance in the Lighthouse Studio in Poole on Wednesday, September 18 at 7pm.

People are encourage to bring a picnic and chair and to wrap up warm.
