Antiques evaluation events are set to benefit the branch of a local charity.

Age UK North, South & West Dorset has announced an exciting new event with Max Beaumont Fine Art and Consultancy, who will be hosting a series of antiques valuation events this autumn to support the local charity.

The fundraiser, featuring antiques valuations at a donation of £5 per item, will take place at the Brownsword Hall in Pummery Square, Poundbury, during September, October, and November.

Events will take place between 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, September 24, Tuesday, October 15 and Tuesday, November 5.

All proceeds from the valuations will go directly to Age UK North, South & West Dorset, helping to raise vital funds for the charity's initiatives aimed at supporting older people in the community.

Rachel Weiss, Chief Operating Officer of Age UK North, South & West Dorset, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming events: "This fundraiser promises to bring something different to our community. It offers a fantastic opportunity for people to have their cherished items valued while supporting a local independent charity. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Max Beaumont for choosing Age UK North, South & West Dorset as the chosen charity for this fundraiser."

Max Beaumont said: “jewellery, silver, watches, ceramics, paintings, sculpture, collectables and if you have an item of furniture , simply bring a photograph and the team can help – no appointment necessary.  Age UK NSWD receives no funding from central Age UK and therefore I am committed in helping them raise as much as possible through these series of events, whilst also having a bit of fun – will we find a Picasso or long lost treasure?”

Teas, coffees and cakes will also be served and a charity raffle will also take place on the days.
