The Dorset Climate Change Coalition in association with the Dorset Strategic Partnership is running two free speaker training courses for people who want to learn about reducing their carbon footprint and tell others about it.
The coalition is a partnership of voluntary and public sector organisations working to raise awareness of climate change and to inspire people to take action. Members have set themselves a target this year to get 1,000 people to reduce their carbon footprint by five per cent, saving 350 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
The first speaker training session is in Dorchester on Wednesday, October 8, from 2pm-4.30pm. The second is also in Dorchester on Saturday, October, 18 from 10am-12.30pm.
Spaces are limited and people are advised to book as soon as possible by contacting Emily Bullock on 01202 307413 or email: Emily@dorsetclimate.org.uk If talking is not for you then do measure your carbon footprint using the Act on CO2 calculator (www.direct.gov.uk/actonco2) and you could be in with a chance of winning a Christmas hamper in a prize draw organised by the Dorset Climate Change Coalition.
