A picturesque village is welcoming an orchestral performance next month.
The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will be performing a concert at the St Nicholas Church, on Church Street, in Abbotsbury.
It will take place on Saturday, September 28, with doors open from 5pm. The concert is due to finish around 7pm.
The performance from twelve principal strings will be under the baton of the new assistant conductor, Enyi Okpara.
Originally formed in 1893, the orchestra performs regularly in Truro, Basingstoke, Barnstaple and Weymouth. The BSO delivers events in more than 200 locations across the country.
Refreshments will be available during the interval.
The event is organised by the Friends of St Nicholas Church and sponsored by Parkers.
Tickets are £15 for adults or £7.50 for children under 16. They can be purchased on the door or from ticketsource.co.uk.
