A BRIDPORT couple say they have had "no justice" following the loss of their beloved dog four months after it was killed by an XL bully.
The couple's West Highland terrier Ollie was grabbed by the neck in the "horrific" attack by the banned breed.
The pet was out for a walk with his owners and was on Wellfields Drive in Bridport on Saturday, April 20 when it was set upon by the other dog.
Sadly, the injuries were catastrophic after a large part of Ollie's neck had been ripped out, and it had to be put down by a vet.
Its owners - who only wanted to be identified as Ken and Angela - said 13-year-old Ollie had lived with them since it was a puppy.
The XL bully, which police said was a 'stray', was found by officers and was also taken to a vet.
Since the attack, no arrests have been made.
From February of this year, it has been a criminal offence to own an American XL bully dog without an exemption certificate.

Ken said: "It has been a long few months, it really shook us up.
"Not a day goes by where we don't think about it.
"I feel that there has been very little done about it and we haven't heard a lot from police.
"We never got closure.
"I was injured by the XL bully, I broke my finger and my hand was bruised trying to fight the dog.
"It chokes me up even now thinking about it.
"We thought that he may be ok, he may be able to survive it, it is just horrible what happened.
"We are still devastated, it was like losing a child, he was our child to us. It is still having an impact on us.
"Every time we see a Westie it brings it all back. He spent 13 years on our bed, in his safe place, in his happy place.
"It is not natural the way that we lost him."
Just last week on Tuesday, August 20, a grandfather in Lancashire was killed by his own XL Bully.

Ken added: "I have seen people killed in the news by these dogs, they are a weapon.
"It may not be the dogs themselves and it may be the owners in a lot of cases, but it is like keeping a loaded gun in your house and then someone shoots it.
"We have had no justice. We had a picture of a man with two XL bullys, we took it to the police and they still haven't caught anyone.
"In a horrible way, I wish I had been bitten by the dog, because it would have been taken more seriously.
"I won't be happy until something is done."
Dorset Police said: "Officers are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and are reviewing all available evidence at this time.
"A local man aged in his 40s has attended for voluntary interview and our investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
"Officers have been liaising with the victim and will keep them informed of any significant updates."
