PART of a Dorset B road is to be closed for maintenance and resurfacing.
The stretch of the B3071 at West Lulworth and Coombe Keynes will be temporarily shut from October 1 to October 9 between the hours of 9am and 4pm daily.
The road will be reopened overnight and at weekends.
The road in Purbeck will be shut from the junction with The Triangle, West Lulworth to the junction with C48, Coombe Keynes, a distance of approximately 4020 metres.
This order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
The temporary closure order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
For more information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Dorset Highways on 01305 228100.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
