A quad bike, tools and fresh produce have been stolen from a farm in Dorset.

The burglary at Attisham Farm, Pilsdon, happened between 10pm on Monday, August 26 and 6am on Tuesday, August 27.

Taken from the farm was an old trailer, hand tools and a dark grey, CT MOTO quad bike, with a distinctive black box on the back.

As well as the farm, ‘The Wagon House’ farm shop was also targeted and an estimated £400 worth of fresh produce was stolen.

PC Middleton, of the Rural Crime Team said: "I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything suspicious between the times mentioned, or for anybody with any information on the whereabouts of these stolen items, or names of those involved.

"The theft of such equipment is extremely damaging in the rural community, massively affecting our hard-working farmers in their daily tasks. In what is already a financially challenging time for farmers, it is not acceptable that their valuable produce and equipment is taken so mindlessly."
