A RURAL road near Dorchester is to be closed for drainage works.
The C33 at Woodsford will be temporarily shut from September 4 to allow Spec Projects Ltd to install culverts and drainage.
It will be closed between Watery Lane and the B3390 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1740 metres.
The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It is anticipated that the works will be completed by October 30.
A diversion route will be signed using C33, Woodsford Road, Frome Valley Road, Highgate Lane, West Link Road, B3390 and vice versa.

Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
