HUNDREDS of families enjoyed a free festival of music and children's games in Dorchester.
The Anonymous Festival returned for its fourteenth year at the Borough Gardens in Dorchester.
The family-friendly event included plenty of activities for all ages including bungee trampolines, bouncy castles and an inflatable rodeo.
There were also two stages of live music throughout the day, featuring a host of young performers.
The festival was headlined by Kings - a Queen tribute band of four female vocalists.
The other performers included Jack Saunders, Darcey Allen, rock band South Street, Willow Moore, Munvader, Pop Club, Corey Farwell, The Hooked, Georgina Ball, as well as duo, Beth and Jordan.
Cllr Molly Rennie, Dorchester Town Councillor, said: "It is just amazing, so many youngsters having a really great time.
"There are very few things you can do with children that are free and they can go on any event they want to for free.
"It is a really good event and we have been so lucky with the weather.
"So much has been cancelled the whole weekend, the Sunflower Festival was cancelled, the Ukrainian Day but here today is lovely.
"What is really good about this is we have a Youth Council who work independently as well as alongside us.
"They have done the majority of work for this and they are great.
"They choose the things they would like to have and as a town council, we direct them.
"They make a funding application and have to give us the reasons why, obviously we are going to fund it, but it is a chance for them to learn the process.
"I am full of praise for them, they are fabulous."
Emma Farmiloe was visiting with her partner Craig Macon and her daughter Evelyn Farmiloe.
Craig said: "We love it, it is always really good and very family-friendly.
"An enjoyable little day out.
"The kids always enjoy it and the music is always a plus and we have been very fortunate with the weather."
Olena, Luke and Markiian travelled from Sherborne to visit the festival.
Luke said: "We didn't know anything about it and we read about it yesterday.
"Olena lives in Sherborne so we drove down and decided to give it a try.
"It is very nice and we are enjoying it."
